The headline is also clearly inflammatory and designed to illicit a negative reaction toward POTUS, and therefore is totally FAKE NEWS!

US embassies is the United States of America and the ONLY flag that should be flown is the American Flag. U.S. Code Title 4. FLAG AND SEAL, SEAT OF GOVERNMENT, AND THE STATES Chapter 1. Position and manner of display says: (c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. "NBC News first reported that embassies in Israel, Germany, Brazil and Latvia are among those that were denied permission to fly the rainbow flag on embassy flagpoles. The outlet reported that the flag can and is being flown inside embassies and on exterior walls." (1) The article doesn’t not say who, where, why when or how these denials happened. The FACT that it goes on to say that the pride flag IS being flown inside and on the exterior walls makes this is nothing, but a hit piece designed to incite hatred against President Trump.
"The Obama administration granted blanket approval to fly the flag on outside flagpoles, the outlet reported, but State Department policy is that embassies are expected to ask for permission from Washington." (1) The last time I checked obama is not in office so who cares what he did or didn't allow on HIS flagpole!
"The State Department did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News." (1) Why should they respond to this false & inflammatory story designed to make our president look like he hates gay people?
The report comes just over a week since President Trump tweeted his own recognition of Pride month and noted that the administration has launched a campaign to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide. “As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation,” he tweeted. (1) This line implies that something nefarious has occurred after President Trump tweeted which is FALSE!
"The German embassy, one of those that reportedly applied for permission, is headed by Ambassador Richard Grenell, the most senior openly gay person in the Trump administration." (1) Why are they making it a point to say that this man is openly gay? Is it because they are trying to incite violence or imply that President Trump so how has denied this openly gay man his ‘right’ to fly the pride flag on a flagpole?
"The president's recognition of Pride Month and his tweet encouraging our decriminalization campaign gives me even more pride to once again march in the Berlin Pride parade, hang a huge banner on the side of the Embassy recognizing our pride, host multiple events at the Embassy and the residence, and fly the gay pride flag," Grenell told NBC News. (1) Obviously Grenell doesn’t have a problem with how the flags are being flown. This comment is at the bottom of the article well after the inflammatory and fake claims made by nbc, abc and surreptitiously rereported by fox news.
"ABC News reported that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo did not approve an official cable normally approved with guidance on how to mark LGBT Pride month and International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia." (1) So, in other words he did not approve a cable on how to mark lgbt month, but he ALSO did not approve a cable on how NOT to mark lgbt month. This duplicitous remark, again, reinforces the fact that this is nothing, but a tripe filled hit pieced against President Trump.
"As a result, embassies and consulates could mark both events however they wished, but it still required them to reach out to Washington for approval for the flag to be raised on the flagpole." (1) We finally get to the ultimate admission that the entire article is FAKE NEWS when the writer admits that the embassies and consulates could mark the events 'however they wished'
